Many Opportunities for Sowing Hope The students at Many Opportunities for Sowing Hope The students at Fray school in Guatemala are enjoying a very special Christmas present: a harvest grown especially so they will have food during their month-long holiday break. The amazing thing is that the seedlings for these crops were planted only two weeks before Thanksgiving. This is incredible growth, due to the techniques and dedication of the team, students and teachers! 2025 was @sowingopportunities ’ most engaged year 2025 was @sowingopportunities ’ most engaged year ever! Since we began in 2022 providing greenhouse agriculture in the remote, indigenous highlands of Eastern Alta Verapaz, we have added one village each year. Now we are now working with four villages! And this year, we also added two schools! Working with schools allows us to reach more families, as the students teach their parents what they’ve learned. They are not only learning a trade. They also have regular school lunches. In 2026, we are planning to add four additional schools, to increase the number of families served in the region. Won’t you join us in this exciting endeavor? Desde que comenzamos en el año 2022 a ofrecer agricultura de invernadero en las remotas tierras altas indígenas del este de Alta Verapaz, cada año hemos añadido una aldea. ¡Ahora trabajamos con cuatro! ¡Y este año también añadimos dos escuelas! Trabajar con ellas nos permite llegar a más familias, ya que los alumnos enseñan a sus padres lo que han aprendido. Ellos aprenden un oficio y también reciben almuerzos escolares regulares.
