Selvin Poou, along with his wife, Dora Pascual, has been the pastor of a small church in the Nueva Libertad community, a division of the Sisbilhá hamlet, for five years.

As a church leader, he supports low-income families and older adults.
He is very grateful for having learned the methodology shared with him by the nonprofit Sowing Opportunities, which has significantly improved the family’s nutrition by consuming healthy vegetables.
Through sales, he has raised funds to help the elderly people living in the village. He also supported a widowed elderly woman who lives alone, to build her greenhouse, so she can produce her food, based on what she learned from the nonprofit’s agricultural team.
It’s worth mentioning that he strongly encourages his children, Betsabé, 10, and Eleazar, 12, to learn to grow using this method, because he’s sure that in the not-too-distant future, this could be a source of income for them.

He’s grateful to God and the team because his life has changed for the better, and that’s why he wants to influence his parishioners and help them have their own greenhouses.

To help Pastor Selvin and others like him, we need your donations. You can change lives in a place where they’ve been forgotten.
