12-year-old parishioner influenced to build a family greenhouse

Parishioners of Pastor Selvin Poou church in la Nueva Libertad, a division of the Sisbilhá hamlet, are inspired to build their own greenhouses, aided by the agricultural engineer of Sowing Opportunities.

Fernanda is the 12-year-old daughter of Martha Raymundo Pérez, teacher at a village near Fray Bartolomé de las Casas and Jaime Alexander Juarez Catalán Bach, a bricklayer’s assistant. She has a younger sister, Alexia, age 8.

Fernanda, the daughter, is motivated by the knowledge she’s gained from the Sembrando Oportunidades technical team. She’s practicing what she’s learning at her school. She says she loves this type of agriculture because the plants grow quickly and the method is very easy to learn.

In this update, you can see photos of Fernanda proudly holding the produce from her greenhouse, Fernanda with her father and sister, and photos of her mother, Martha, planting.
