Tuesday, December 24
Aside from going to church, Christmas is a day like any other in the villages. They don’t have the means for a special feast, so it is not their tradition.
In the U.S., we continue our efforts to help the people in this remote region to have sustainable food security. And, this is thanks to you.
One of our donors recently wrote to us, “My family and I believe all the work [Sowing Opportunities is] doing is really beautiful and in the spirit of Christmas. We applaud you for all you are doing for your fellow humans.”
Because of donations like these, we are able to continue to provide resources for food security through greenhouse agriculture in the remote region of Eastern Alta Verapaz. 100% of your donations go towards the project. Your donation makes a difference and is in the spirit of Christmas.
To those who observe, we wish you a Merry Christmas this evening, December 24. Tomorrow evening, December 25, is also the first night of Chanukah. A very happy festival of lights to all who observe! “May God who allows peace to prevail above, create peace for us and on Israel and all the world.” Oseh Shalom. אושה שלום May God create peace.
Blessings,
Fern and the Sowing Opportunities team
