Schooling the next generation in greenhouse agriculture
2025 was our busiest year to date. Our high-yield greenhouse farming project continues in the Eastern Highlands of Guatemala.
We have now trained indigenous families, widows, single mothers, and their children in Chajmaic, Salaguna, Sisbilhá, and La Nueva Libertad (a subdivision of Sisbilhá) in our techniques. Families now have greater food security, helping them remain in Guatemala rather than attempt a dangerous migration to the north.
We now have a great opportunity to expand our programs – a matching grant! If you donate now through December 31, your donation will be doubled, up to $1,000.
Expanding our impact
In 2025, we took our work in an exciting new direction, focusing on schools. In Sisbilhá, we helped the primary school build a second double greenhouse. Simultaneously, we began to work with a regional catchment school in Fray Bartolomé de las Casas, where 350 students learn.
In just six month’s time, our team helped the students build seven double greenhouses, which have already yielded two harvests (and a third on the way)! Now the school can provide regular school lunches to these students who live in extreme poverty, and the students have skills they can take home and use for a lifetime.

Plans for next year 一 with your help!
Multiple schools in the region have asked us to create similar programs for their students. We have chosen four more primary schools to be our focus in 2026.
Our project manager accomplishes so much with minimal resources. Yet as much as we are doing in this forgotten region, there is so much more to be done at a time when global charity funding is declining. You can make the difference!
Remember: All donations before December 31 will be matched up to $1,000. You can donate at this link:
