We want to share with you some beautiful photos from August 3, 2026:
First, these are photos of the second harvest at our 6th school – the convent boarding school for girls without families to care for them, Escuela Ratz’ Um K’iche, Boloncó, Northeast Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. Here, they had nothing, and the school principal told our team, “How did you learn about us? You are an answer to prayer.”
Second, here is an update – photos from August 3, 2026 – on Mileidy Yuliz Caal Chub, the 12-year-old, 5th grade Nueva Guadalupe School student who asked her teacher if she could grow her own greenhouse at home.
You might remember that this project had been approved by our project manager and agricultural engineer back in April. We had reported that her father had left her and her mother mistreated her, so she and her 10-year-old sister are being raised by their grandmother, and living hand to mouth in abject poverty. Here is the fruit of her labor, four months later:
