Make a difference in Guatemala in a time of increased need (Email 2 of end of year campaign)

You may have heard that USAID has been dismantledInternational aid has drastically reduced worldwide, making competition for grant funding yet more intense.  That’s why we need your donation even more than ever, to help bring the region out of poverty and to have hope and a direction for their future, with food security.

A little bit goes a long way in Guatemala, and every donation makes a difference in the impoverished Eastern Alta Verapaz region. Every dollar goes into our mission: teaching students and families how to build and maintain high-yield greenhouses, reducing poverty and hunger in the region.

You may have heard of “Farm to Table.” Sowing Opportunities embodies this concept – while also relieving hunger, inspiring hope, empowering families, and developing futures by training the next generation of greenhouse “farmers.” This work helps keep families in Guatemala, rather than make the dangerous journey north.

We hope you will join those who support our mission, with a one-time or monthly donation. Tomorrow, December 2nd, is Giving Tuesday.  You can donate at this link:

In great appreciation,

Fern and the Sowing Opportunities team
